Taking advantage of the upcoming visit to our country of the British singer Rick Astley, who will be performing on 10 October in Barcelona and 12 October in Madrid, we would like to take the chance to pay tribute to this icon of pop music in the 80s.
Although people may regard Astley as a «one-hit wonder» because of his single «Never gonna give you up», Rick has a long musical career playing different styles such as soul, techno, the typical disco music from the 80s and has also composed several ballads with his personal touch.
For those who don’t know his greatest hit, here you are. And after listening to it, we encourage you to find out more about his large and interesting discography. Enjoy it.

Aprovechando la visita del cantante británico Rick Astley a nuestro país (conciertos el 10 de octubre en Barcelona y el 12 de octubre en Madrid), hemos pensado que es un estupendo momento para rendir homenaje a todo un icono de la música pop de los años 80.
Aunque por su canción «Never gonna give you up» pueda ser considerado por mucha gente como un «One-hit wonder», Rick posee una larga trayectoria musical, en la que ha coqueteado con estilos como el soul, el techno, el sonido discotequero ochentero y creando como él sólo sabe dulces baladas «marca de la casa Astley».
