Queen are a British rock band that formed in London in 1971. Queen’s earliest works were influenced by progressive rock, hard rock and heavy metal.
In 1973 signed their first recording
contract for EMI. That year they released their first album, QUEEN. The band was very popular in the 1970s and 1980s and it’s well known for its sports anthems and classic rock, particularly the hits ‘We Are the Champions’ and ‘Bohemian Rhapsody;’ the band promoted the latter, first released in 1975, with one of the earliest successful music videos, and later re-released it for the soundtrack album from the movie Wayne’s World. Though Freddie Mercury’s personality always dominated in the press, all four members of the group actually wrote huge hits:
